My Amazing Oscar

This is a dedication of acheivement for my amazing son Oscar who despite his profound disabilities lives life to the full. I wanted to share the magical and inspiring attitude of my young man, who has shown no matter what any profession or person tells you that you probably won't be able to take part or be included in regular hobbies and daily activites that we all take for granted, you have to try it for yourself and make your own decision. The proof here is that so far Oscar has not found many that he truly could not take part in , in some way or another, for example riding the Pirates of the Carribean ride at Walt Disney World Orlando, alligator seeing in the everglades, taking up Judo, swimming with dolphins, riding the quad bike up the stables and being one of 14,231 pirates who reclaimed the Guniess World Record in 2012.

LAST OF THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS POOL FUN DAY

Fantastic day we all had a great time in the pool, this summer has seen Iden grow in confidence and swim without his arm bands, the pool is 1.4m deep and he can not touch the bottom, but now Iden is swimming the length of the pool in the centre with full confidence of his ability.

This is lovely for us that is two boys swimming and two more to teach, all in a great relaxed and fun environment, with the promise of pizza's and ice-cream for tea...

Here I am, I love the summer, especially this gorgeous weather we have had, all us kids have had a blast and been wonderfully noisy...

The next boy to learn to swim, Alfie is only 3yrs old but so confident and doing great.

Whoa steady up Alfie, such a confident swimmer.

Fantastic.

This is Ewan my best friend doing what us boys do best, having fun!

Ewan wrestling my dad with judo moves...

JUDO YOKO-SHIHO-GATAME AND ESCAPE FROM KUZURE KESA-GATAME

Here I am learning the feeling of being dragged by my obi across the mats forward and back zigging and zagging.  This is so I get used to being moved firmly and unexpectedly.

Here I am learning the feeling of being thrown sideways left and right.  This helps me prepare for judo moves like Escape from Kuzure Kesa-gatame and Osoto-otoshi.

Practising the feeling of my chest pushing down, then I turnover into Yoko-shiho-gatame and pulling both grips towards me while pushing uke over and down onto their back.  Once I have my uke there I apply my own hold down, Yoko-shiho-gatame.
