My Amazing Oscar

This is a dedication of acheivement for my amazing son Oscar who despite his profound disabilities lives life to the full. I wanted to share the magical and inspiring attitude of my young man, who has shown no matter what any profession or person tells you that you probably won't be able to take part or be included in regular hobbies and daily activites that we all take for granted, you have to try it for yourself and make your own decision. The proof here is that so far Oscar has not found many that he truly could not take part in , in some way or another, for example riding the Pirates of the Carribean ride at Walt Disney World Orlando, alligator seeing in the everglades, taking up Judo, swimming with dolphins, riding the quad bike up the stables and being one of 14,231 pirates who reclaimed the Guniess World Record in 2012.

1st MON PASSED AND PRESENTATION OF BELT

Here I am being presented in front of the whole club my 1st MON grading belt, I am so proud of myself for passing my grading and now I am really proud of getting my yellow stripe for my red belt.
I passed my grading a few weeks ago, but had to wait for the BJA to confirm my grading and send me my new belt strip, certificate and stamp to go in my licence.

Kesa Gatame

I now have to push up to try and escape from the Kesa-Gatame to do this I tried to trap my buddy's legs with my own, I grab uke around his waste and move towards him to try and catch his leg.

Tate-shiho-gatame, I am going into the straddle hold where I straddle uke's torso, push uke's arm up and across and then I use my head to pin the trapped arm, I then slide my other arm around uke's neck and hook my feet under uke's legs.

A really good judo lesson with lots of practise.
