My Amazing Oscar

This is a dedication of acheivement for my amazing son Oscar who despite his profound disabilities lives life to the full. I wanted to share the magical and inspiring attitude of my young man, who has shown no matter what any profession or person tells you that you probably won't be able to take part or be included in regular hobbies and daily activites that we all take for granted, you have to try it for yourself and make your own decision. The proof here is that so far Oscar has not found many that he truly could not take part in , in some way or another, for example riding the Pirates of the Carribean ride at Walt Disney World Orlando, alligator seeing in the everglades, taking up Judo, swimming with dolphins, riding the quad bike up the stables and being one of 14,231 pirates who reclaimed the Guniess World Record in 2012.

My freaky Friday costume for school...

The entrance to my bedroom, lots of scary cobwebs, scary black rags, my creepy butler who talks to you every time you pass him, fabulous carved pumpkins, my home made spider and my fabulous pirate picture frame that shouts at you as you pass and then sticks his eyeballs and tongue out at you.

Fantastic fireworks for Halloween, grandad and daddy had a excellent firework display all organised with diagonal displays and cracking bursts of fireworks all for me for Halloween.

FREAKY FRIDAY BEST COSTUME AT SCHOOL

Freaky Friday at school, I normally go as a scary bone ribbed pirate, but this Halloween I decided I wanted to go as a mummy as I have really been enjoying the movie return of the mummy and my friends had a party where one of the games was to cover your friend in loo roll to make a mummy and I thought that was great.  I had the best costume in the whole school. WOW!!!

We spent the day at school making ghoulish jelly, scary halloween masks, bat biscuits and spiders.

THE LONDON EYE

Standing under the London Eye, I was impressed to learn that this was a temporary tourist attraction for the millennium that was so popular that it was kept running and now 12 years on it is still fantastic.

OMG!!!!! my mummy had a absolute wobble at this, it was all fine and I was put first in line to board the London Eye Bubble, which does not stop moving, you just walk on in a tiny time zone while the bubble keeps moving very slowly along.  My mum suddenly said Oh NO NO NO I am not doing this with not barrier as there is the river Thames and NO BARRIER !!!!!!!!!  Then as my mum tried to reverse me away, we realised we could not go back the way we came as it is one way and packed with queing people, so the London Eye staff stopped the ride and put a mini ramp and said it is ok, they stood either side of the gap and I went on.

Oh my here we go !!!! I am going to board the London Eye...

Fabulous view, we are fully on top of the London Eye WAHOOOO!!!

Queen Victoria Tower that houses BIG BEN'S BELL and the houses of Parliment.

Fabuouls St Pauls in the back ground and a great view of the city.

Love this photo, Buckingham Palace from the river in the park from the Naval Yard, this is such a great photo because I saw a lot of this footage on the coverage for the Jubilee and and Olmpics.

Loved my visit to London and really enjoyed seeing London as a tourist.

JUDO LESSON MUNE-GATAME AND KAMI-SHIHO-GATAME

It is important to do all the warm up exercises, lots of leg exercises and arm warm ups, this is so I am ready to throw and get thrown in my lesson.

I am the uke and my tori buddy is applying Mune-gatame on me.

Here I am trying to stop my uke from escaping from Kami-shiho-gatame.  I kept rolling uke over until I had gained a hold down on uke myself.

Tori tried a pull to surprise me by rocking one way to then quickly switch direction and make me roll over on my side so that my tori could gain a hold down, but I was already ahead of tori's move and I did not yield to tori's reaction, my instructor was very pleased I held my stance.

Was a fabulous lesson today My instructor had two other uke's and tori's come and try to surprise me with moves that I had been learning, they were very good and knowledgeable.  My best friend learnt some new moves too, he was learning Osoto-otoshi to Kesa-gatame and he was very good at being both the Tori and the Uke, a Tori is the person doing the attack and the Uke is the person being attacked.
