My Amazing Oscar

This is a dedication of acheivement for my amazing son Oscar who despite his profound disabilities lives life to the full. I wanted to share the magical and inspiring attitude of my young man, who has shown no matter what any profession or person tells you that you probably won't be able to take part or be included in regular hobbies and daily activites that we all take for granted, you have to try it for yourself and make your own decision. The proof here is that so far Oscar has not found many that he truly could not take part in , in some way or another, for example riding the Pirates of the Carribean ride at Walt Disney World Orlando, alligator seeing in the everglades, taking up Judo, swimming with dolphins, riding the quad bike up the stables and being one of 14,231 pirates who reclaimed the Guniess World Record in 2012.

TATE SHINTO GATE OSCAR'S 1st JUDO LESSON BACK AND BEST FRIEND GRADED 1ST MON

Well done Ewan my fabulous bestfriend graded and was awarded his 1st MON we are now the same grade and we have already been practising together for our 2nd MON.

My gorgeous son, just done his warm up exercises with the class.

Yep!  drag my behind back and forth over the matts!  Just cos the other kids can run, crawl or drag themselves means I have to be dragged too!  I love this as I feel I can do what you do my way.

And again one of my instructors making me do lots of snake exercises, I loved this one as I was in a race with all the other uke's.

Kami-shiho-gatame

My uke kneeled with his knees either side of my (uke's) head, he reached under both my arms and then grabbed onto my belt.  Now you can either keep your legs tucked up or straight out behind you and in this lesson they were tucked up.

In all a great busy lesson with lots to take in and learn, I really enjoyed having the help from my buddy and really enjoyed pushing myself further and harder in my lesson than before, even though my mummy thought I needed to stop I said NO! and I did continue on and learnt more and was very pleased with myself for  pushing my boundaries and doing more than I thought I could today.
