My Amazing Oscar

This is a dedication of acheivement for my amazing son Oscar who despite his profound disabilities lives life to the full. I wanted to share the magical and inspiring attitude of my young man, who has shown no matter what any profession or person tells you that you probably won't be able to take part or be included in regular hobbies and daily activites that we all take for granted, you have to try it for yourself and make your own decision. The proof here is that so far Oscar has not found many that he truly could not take part in , in some way or another, for example riding the Pirates of the Carribean ride at Walt Disney World Orlando, alligator seeing in the everglades, taking up Judo, swimming with dolphins, riding the quad bike up the stables and being one of 14,231 pirates who reclaimed the Guniess World Record in 2012.

MY FISH TANK

I am not the only one who loves my fish!  My cat Lilly loves to sleep on top and hang over the edge watching the fish.

Arrgh me maties as I am Captain Oscar, Pirate!  it is only proper that I have a pirate ship and rum barrel in my fish tank!

This fish is called Po as he looks like a panda and Kung Fu Panda is one of my favourite films, I also have two clams that live in my fish tank, they are really funny to watch when they open up the blob out their foot which looks like a gooey white trunk and they drag themselves around the tank with it.

BEST FRIEND ME AND DADDY PRACTICING OUR JUDO FOR OUR GRADING 1st AND 2nd MON

Oscar is using a Mune-gatame chest hold on uke, Oscar is clamping uke to him by gripping under uke's neck and arm, Oscar keeps his weight and body over uke and uses his legs for stability.

Here Ewan is escaping from Mune-gatame by using the bridge and roll action.  He will push up and move towards Oscar and push him off and then Ewan will then roll over on top of Oscar and apply Mune-gatame, which is the  next photo.

Well done Ewan for escaping form Mune-gatame!

Clive with Ewan trying to escape from Kesa-gatame, unfair advantage I'd say!!!

Osoto-otoshi to Kesa-gatame, Clive has thrown a hold down and as Ewan hit the ground he has planned his escape and he is trying to trap Clive's legs with his own.

Oscar is applying Kesa-gatame to Ewan

Ewan wanted to practise a 3rd mon move Mae Mawari Ukemi (1) and Clive did it with him, Ewan as his instructor says a very good student who listens and learns very quickly and very well.

Well done Ewan very good technic.

Clive cheating by grabbing Ewan out of a Kesa-gatame hold and throwing him over his side!

Ewan applying Osoto-otoshi on Clive in full swing.

Well done Ewan for taking my daddy down wahoo !
Ewan came over for some Judo practise so that we could work through our grading schedule together, He is doing his 1st mon and he knows all of his moves plus most of the next grade 2nd mon, so I really do think he will pass his grading.  We had such a fun time with taking daddy down and making him fight back, I was all for Ewan attacking daddy and shouting get him get him get him and we had a really fun play session.

EARLY JANUARY SPRING IN MY GARDEN

My daffodils are up and coming the first week of January!

My daddy's rhubarb crown is sprouting too

These are my winter cabbages and I am excited that we are going to have cabbage by April!

I love my winter garden I like how every season is my favourite, I have lots of little jobs to do in the garden with my mum and dad and winter is getting some of the beds ready for spring, while the ground is still soft, I don't like the weeding, but I do like giving all my chickens the garden weeds as they love them.  I help dig up some of the winter carrots and leeks so that they can go in my super chicken soup I help make with my mum.  This year we have a badger who is digging up our lawn, I don't really mind the pot holes bumping under my wheels as it is better than the wet mud the pigs have dug up in the garden !!!

MY GLORIOUS HENS JAN 2013

Most fabulous corn feed chicken eggs, the best you can have

Daddy's girls they won't leave him alone where ever he goes in the garden so do they, they absolutely love him and it is so funny if he runs they run with him

Bobilina one of my girls

Once again chase after daddy.

My chickens are such a lovely bunch, they are quite bossy and love to tell us off if we have not let them out early enough.  They lay fabulous rich and creamy corn golden eggs which we all love to eat.  Mum loves the chickens as they help dig up the vegetable beds and eat all the ants and bugs, they are the best help against bugs in the vegetable garden, however they do like to help themselves to the the young growing spinach and cabbage's so we do have to shoo them away from those beds which is funny, I here my mum saying the chickens have the whole garden and yet it is the only bed they want to eat !!!

MY GORGEOUS PIGS NOW 6 MONTHS OLD

Hello

Rootling

Don't worry my love I will rootle why you take a break

Love that Lemon has worked out that she can be just as effective standing or sitting

I am really enjoying my pigs, they are so funny, I love how clever they are and that they have their own individual characters.  They are quite bossy too as they like to be feed on time, I have to feed them breakfast on my way out to school it only takes a minute as mum and dad do the mucking out.

They also like a small lunch of apples and then I help feed them their dinner when I get home from school.  What is great about feeding them is that as soon as they see me they come running over to fence and grunt and snort to me.  I love the attention they give me and that they love to spend time with me too.

Diagon Alley

Every wand box is made by hand and decorated by hand and then the name of every member of the cast from all the Harry Potter films is named on one box.

The model of Hogwarts which was used for the filming

Had a wonderful time at the Harry Potter World studio tour in London, we got to see the Great Hall that all the movies were filmed in and to look at the tables, food and sculptures, the great fireplace and the head table where Dumbledor stands with the golden eagle stand.

The tour lot was brilliant all the props were what have been used in the movies and I got to see the chemistry magic potion classroom, Hagrids hut, the gates to Hogwarts and Gryffindors doorm.

My best bit was Diagon Alley, that was fantastic really felt like we were there, I went to Ollivanders wand shop, the Weasleys Wizard shop, and I saw the nimbus 2000 in the quidich shop.
